Yvonne Caylor was 53 years old when she killed the man. She was living in Letchworth, Hertfordshire at the time. She was the half sister of Nicki Collingbourne which is a strange fact. The police and the victim’s family believe that an argument between the half-sisters was the reason for the horrific crime. Even though Yvonne and Nicki had the same father, they were many years apart and didn’t grow up the same way. Although Yvonne was born in the UK, she lived most of her adult life in the US and even hosted Nicki there. Also, about a year and a few months before the murder, in June 2015, Nicki let Yvonne stay with her in her Letchworth apartment, which led to a fight.

According to reports, Nicki and Yvonne were staying together at Nicki’s apartment in Letchworth when they got into an argument that the police had to get involved. Although Yvonne first said her half-sister had beaten her, Nicki soon learned that someone had broken into her apartment and took her belongings while she was gone. She thought Yvonne was breaking in right away and even filed a formal complaint, leading to Yvonne being charged with breaking and entering and trying to stop justice. So it’s no surprise that the older half-sister held a very strong grudge against Nicki for a long time.

Finally, on May 23, 2016, Yvonne dressed up as a man and went to Nicki’s apartment, where she killed her half-sister by beating her with a ceramic pot in the shape of a chicken. Then she set up the scene to look like a suicide, hoping to divert attention from herself. Nicki Collingbourne was found by police in a pool of her own blood. She was wearing only her underwear and had deep cuts to her wrists. Although it was difficult to say what had killed the person, the police knew it was a murder and soon learned that the chicken-shaped pot had been used to beat the victim to death.

Where is Yvonne Caylor right now?

There were no witnesses to the crime, which is odd, but a CCTV camera caught a person in a coat approaching the victim’s door just before the murder. Although it appeared that the person was a man, police quickly confirmed that the killer was wearing a disguise and was likely someone who knew the victim at first sight. Then they also found out about the fight between Nicki and Yvonne. When the police added two and two together, they were sure Yvonne had something to do with the murder. So the police quickly took Yvonne into custody and charged her with murder.

When Yvonne was brought to court, she said she was not guilty and said that someone else killed Nicki. But in 2016, she was found guilty of murder and sentenced to 20 years to life in prison. At the time of writing this article, Yvonne had not yet served her minimum prison sentence. She almost certainly spends her days in a British prison.
