Who are Marcus and Jane Buckingham? Meet Lilia Buckingham’s parents

On April 9, 2003, Marcus and Jane Ruth Buckingham welcomed their daughter Lillia into the world in Los Angeles, California. Her parents are also writers.

Marcus is a management consultant, motivational speaker and author with British roots. Break All the Rules (1999) and StandOut 2.0 are just some of the works he has written. Jane is the author of The Modern Girl’s Guide to Life and The Modern Girl’s Guide to Sticky Situations.

A story written by Jane titled “Four Seconds of Fame” about Lilia and her family’s experiences in finding unexpected fame was published on HuffPost in May 2013.

Marcus was born in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire and grew up in the Hertfordshire village of Radlett. At Allied Breweries, his father was Human Resources Director.

Buckingham began to struggle with his stutter, claiming that he could not speak until the age of 13. He learned to deal with it, pretending to only speak to one person instead of 300 when he had to formally address other guys in his high school.

Jane has served in prison several times

Buckingham was arrested on March 12 for her involvement in a college admissions bribery scheme.

Buckingham made a $50,000 gift to the Key Worldwide Foundation for College Counseling, without her son’s knowledge or consent, to appoint a proctor to undertake the ACT on her son’s behalf.

Buckingham provided the supervisor with an example of her son’s writing for him to copy and had her son take a practice test to give the impression that her son had taken the ACT. In April, Buckingham agreed to file a guilty plea.

On October 23, 2019, US judge Indira Talwani sentenced Buckingham to a year’s probation, a $40,000 fine and 21 days in prison.

According to US prosecutors, Buckingham was more deeply involved in the mechanics of the fraud than many other parents who were also involved in the case, and they were asking for a six-month prison sentence.

They said that by administering the test in place of her son, she even deprived him of the opportunity to answer all the questions correctly himself.

Marcus is a New York Times bestselling author

While Buckingham was an undergraduate at Cambridge, he was recruited by Donald O. Clifton, the founder of Selection Research, Inc. and a professor of educational psychology. Clifton co-founded SRI to help organizations recognize talent in people and apply it where appropriate.

SRI acquired The Gallup Organization in 1988 and used the Gallup name. As a Gallup employee, Buckingham took part in a team that created a survey that examined several factors that affect employee engagement.

First, in response to these surveys and thousands of management interviews, Buckingham and author Curt Coffman published Break All the Rules (Simon and Schuster, 1999). According to the subtitle, the book outlines what the world’s best managers do differently.

The book has sold over a million copies and is currently a bestseller on the New York Times list. It was voted one of the “100 Greatest Business Books of All Time” by Jack Covert and Todd Sattersten in their book of the same name.

Lilia Buckingham in Hocus Focus 2

Cassie is Lilia’s newest character in the highly anticipated Hocus Pocus 2. Ever since Hocus Pocus was first released in 1993, people have been begging for a sequel, and it’s been a popular Halloween movie ever since.

Ever since the sequel was announced, everyone has been looking forward to this year’s Halloween season. Luckily, Buckingham’s big break in Hollywood came much later than she expected.

The former actress, who shifted her focus to production by earning a degree in film and television, was content to have put drama on hold in favor of regular college life until she got the call to audition for Hocus Pocus 2 received.

Along with Gossip Girl’s Whitney Peak and Appeal’s Belissa Escobedo, Buckingham’s first submission for the role of Cassie Traske, one of the three best friends who team up to save Salem from the Sanderson sisters, was a historic moment in and of itself , but he was only the beginning of a grueling seven-round audition process.

Rise to Fame

Lilia worked with well-known Hollywood stars before she turned 20, joined a series with millions of fans and added a Disney credit to her portfolio.

The newcomer is prudent enough to refrain from overtaking, even though Buckingham could not have imagined a more ideal official start to her career.

As she continues to develop her art and work toward her next project, Buckingham plans to graduate, enjoy the moment, and apply the lessons she learned from this amazing experience.

Not only could young talent break into Hollywood by starring in a highly anticipated Disney sequel with a cast that embodies the epitome of fame (Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Midler and Kathy Najimi, to name a few). Because that would be the way, Buckingham made sure it was treated that way.
