In an episode that aired on NBC on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at 8 p.m. ET, the second round of qualifying for season 17 of America’s Got Talent (AGT) was shown.

During the two hours, the participants showcased a wide range of talents such as magic, acrobatics, singing, dancing, comedy and much more. Only two of the 11 acts will go through.

Aiko Tanaka did stand-up comedy on tonight’s show. Although the judges liked her, she didn’t do much to impress the viewers at home. One person said:

Season 17 of America’s Got Talent (AGT) featured a wide range of humor, glitz, and grace, and the contestants’ backstories were very inspiring. Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara were all back as judges, and they provided helpful feedback to each contestant.

What do people think of Aiko Tanaka’s performance?

In her audition round, the comedian joked about becoming an American citizen, getting mad at the road, and what it means to be a real American. She was able to impress both the judges and the live audience, who stood up to cheer her on.

She did a show called “I Do My Own Stunts” for tonight’s episode. She joked about her Japanese accent, how difficult it was for her to speak English, how uncomfortable she was around other people and self-help books. Although the judges liked her act – Howie Mandel gave a standing ovation – the audience was not impressed.

54 acts were chosen to perform live at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in the qualifying round. The qualifying rounds will last three weeks and only ten entrants and one wild card will make it to the final round. Tomorrow’s show will decide which of the Top 2 acts will make it to tonight’s final.
