The fourth season of Glow Up is coming back to Netflix with ten young makeup artists from across the UK. The show kicks off on August 19 and TV and radio host Maya Jama will be in charge. The 28-year-old has participated in many shows and built a good name.

In the new season of Glow Up, ten UK makeup artists (MUAs) will compete in TV, theatre, front covers and online beauty campaigns. Val Garland and Dominic Skinner, both experts in makeup and beauty, will serve as judges for the show.

The official recap of the show says:

Who shines and who disappears? Artists trying to become Britain’s next makeup star show off their amazing transformations and beautiful artwork. Maya Jama of Glow Up started her career when she was still in high school.

Maya was born and raised in Bristol and started broadcasting when she was just 16 years old. Initially, she went to London in 2012 to try to earn a living acting, modeling and hosting TV shows. After a few jobs as a model, she tried to become a TV presenter. She was just a teenager at the time and she started working for JumpOff.TV on a weekly music video countdown. She later worked for Sky UK on TRACE Sports.

She hosted a show called Copa 90’s Maya’s Fifa World Cup Cities during the 2014 World Cup. She also hosted the World Cup Taxi series, which was made up of nine parts and was part of the same World Cup series. Later that same year, she became the host of The Wrap Up on MTV.

Later, when she worked closely with the Brit Awards and did things like host their 2017 Pre-Brit Awards party and live stream on Facebook from the red carpet, she rose to prominence.

In September of the same year, she co-hosted the Saturday night game show Cannonball on ITV with Andrew Flintoff, Frankie Bridge, Radzi Chinyanganya and Ryan Hand. This was just one more thing she did. Jama has also appeared on ITV’s Loose Women for two years in a row, in 2017 and 2018.

At 23, the Glow Up presenter became the youngest person to co-host the MOBO Awards on Channel 5 with fellow presenter Marvin Humes. This was one of the highlights of her career.

Maya Jama also co-hosted other shows, such as The Circle and Stand Up to Cancer. The host was also a celebrity contestant on shows like “Don’t Hate the Playaz,” “League of Their Own Road,” and “The Big Fat Quiz of the Year.”

Maya’s career peaked in June 2020 when she co-presented Peter Crouch: Save Our Summer on BBC One with Peter Crouch and Alex Horne. The Big New Year’s In, a New Year’s Eve show that Jama helped organize, was also a BBC show.

She was a guest judge on the second season of RuPaul’s Drag Race in the UK in February 2021, and she also hosted Simon Cowell’s new music competition game show, Walk The Line.
