According to a report by NPR, authorities in Kansas say they have arrested a man wanted in Ohio in connection with the shooting deaths of four people, including a small girl.

A report of shots fired on Friday shortly before noon prompted police to dispatch officers to the Ohio region, where they found four victims at various crime scenes with gunshot wounds.

The victims were found in two different homes where they resided, adjacent to the property held by Marlow’s family, according to the Dayton Daily News.

According to the Dayton Daily News, Stephen Marlow used to work as a trader in Chicago. He and his family used to reside on Haverstraw Avenue.

His educational history includes Butler High School and the University of Kentucky in Lexington, where he received his degree.

According to information received in 1999 from the county’s open records, one of the homes in the 7200 block of Hardwicke shares a piece of a rear fence with his parents’ house.

On Saturday, a close neighbour who asked to remain anonymous claimed to have lived in the neighbourhood for more than three decades.

The person claimed he didn’t know the alleged shooter but had recently learned there had been small disputes with Marlow and other neighbours, particularly residents of Hardwicke Place.

John Porter, the police chief in Butler Twp., named Stephen A. Marlow as the main person of interest in the shootings.

He is characterised as a white man who weighs 160 pounds, stands 5 feet 11 inches tall, and has short brown hair.

Porter reported he was last seen driving a white 2007 Ford Edge SUV with the Ohio licence plate JES-9806 and wearing shorts and a yellow T-shirt.

Authorities are aware of a video Marlow released online shortly after the incident in which he explains why he attacked the 4 individuals. He asserts that numerous persons have been interrogated regarding the suspect.

The victims were named by the Montgomery County coroner’s office on Saturday as 15-year-old girl, 78-year-old Eva Knox, 41-year-old Sarah Anderson, and 82-year-old Clyde Knox. At the scene, each person was pronounced dead.

The policeman claimed to be armed and dangerous. According to a statement made public by the authorities, Marlow will be sent back to Ohio to stand trial for the tragic killings.

Marlow’s attorney is not mentioned in court documents, but a message seeking comment was left on Saturday at a phone number associated with his identity.

Following an incident that happened in Vandalia in July 2019, Marlow had already received a February 2020 sentence for attempted robbery and aggravated threats.

He was accused of breaking into a home on Damian Street in Vandalia and making a knife threat to a homeowner.

According to Montgomery County Common Pleas Court records, Marlow was sentenced to five years of community control; however, on February 9th, his probation was revoked.

During the first year of his probation, he was placed under rigorous supervision until December 2020 and told to receive a mental health evaluation.
