Why did Erika Jayne call Kathy Hilton at the RHOBH convention for alleged gay libel
Erika Jayne remains committed to giving gays whatever they want.
The 51-year-old star of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” felt compelled to call on Kathy Hilton to allegedly cast a homophobic slander because the former is a staunch supporter of the LGBTQIA + community.
“Erika cares very much about the LGBTQIA + community. They were by her side from the very beginning of her career, even before “Housewives”, says page six, a source close to the singer “Pretty Mess”.
“She had no choice but to say something and take a stand. She wanted to make a statement: none of her cast will attack the LGBTQIA + community and will not be left out of control.
Jayne’s representative did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
During the third and final installment of “RHOBH” Season 12 Reunion on Wednesday night, Jayne accused 63-year-old Hilton of calling DJ “the old fucking king” during his unfortunate trip to Aspen.
“I see Kathy coming off the dance floor, very nervous,” she said. “I say, ‘Kathy, what happened?’ She says, “DJ is the fucking old king” and walked away.
Hilton admitted that she was “frustrated” with the manager at the Caribou Club – where the alleged slander took place – because he told her he was “too busy” to accept song requests that evening.
However, Paris and Nicky Hilton’s mother insisted that she would never use that language.
“I’ll confess to what I’m doing, but I won’t be painted on this monster you’ve tried …” she began.
These are your words. You told me so, ”Jayne interrupted, prompting Hilton to shake her head and insist,” Never, ever. “
Kathy added, “No one else heard it,” to which Jayne replied, “No, you told me that directly.”
It should be noted that Kathy herself is an advocate of the queer community. The investor Casa Del Sol Tequila served as Grand Marshal at the Los Angeles Equality Parade in 2005 and has for years advocated for LGBTQIA + organizations such as GLAAD.
At the convention, Andy Cohen cut in to say that Bravo HR opened an investigation into the matter which proved inconclusive because “it was a coincidence that she said, she said.”
Hours before the airing of Part 3, Jayne insisted on her claim that Kathy made an insulting remark during the cast’s disastrous flight in Colorado.
“I was there. It happened. What the” audience “chooses to believe is beyond my control, Jayne said in a statement shared via her Instagram feed earlier Wednesday.
“I’ll never back out of the truth about what happened that night at the Aspen club.”
Kathy recently said she would leave Beverly Hills if Jayne or Lisa Rinna, another on-screen opponent of the community, get their diamonds back in Season 13.
Jayne held a full-time position on the reality show for the next seven seasons, while Kathy joined the cast as a “friend” in 2021.
