Why didn’t Prince Harry go to Balmoral with his family

Prince Harry unfortunately did not make it to Scotland in time to say goodbye to Queen Elizabeth II in person before her death on Thursday.
While the others arrived around 4pm, Harry didn’t land until just before 8pm – almost an hour and a half after Buckingham Palace announced his grandmother’s death.
“Absolutely no decision to exclude” [Harry]”Said one Page Six source amid reports claiming that the 37-year-old royal had been denied a seat on a plane carrying members of the royal family.
The source added that Harry’s father – now King Charles III – had already asked him and Prince William to hurry to Balmoral to see the Queen amid her rapidly deteriorating health.
As Harry arrived late – and without Meghan Markle’s wife – some reports speculated that the constant tension with the royal family had prompted the Duke of Sussex to travel alone.
However, sources told Page Six that 73-year-old Charles specifically asked 40-year-old William to fly early and attend a Privy Council meeting in his place. At the time, it was not clear what would happen in the next few hours.
“That’s why you didn’t see the other grandchildren on that flight either,” the source noted.
As previously reported, Harry and Markle, 41, were in the UK on charity and stayed at their Windsor mansion when Charles allegedly made it clear that it was not a good idea for a “Suit” graduate to accompany him.
“The tensions were so high and there was no way Meghan could go to Balmoral,” the palace informant told us on Friday.
“The fact that the Sussex camp said that both Harry and Meghan were leaving – and then quickly withdrew that statement – will tell you all you need to know about the drama behind the scenes.”
It is believed that the last time Harry saw his grandmother in person was in June 2022, in celebration of Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee.
After Queen Elizabeth’s death, Charles was immediately proclaimed king. His new title was officially announced early Saturday as Britain continued to mourn its longest-reigning monarch.
Later that day, Markle had another public meeting with Harry, William, and Kate Middleton. The foursome was photographed paying tribute from fans all over the country.
