Sandman is a hit, but it may not be enough.
Despite being the #1 show on Netflix worldwide, with more than 127 million hours watched between August 8 and 14, a second season of the long-awaited series is not a sure thing.
why “Because Sandman it’s a really expensive show.” Sandman creator Neil Gaiman explained on Twitter. “And in order for Netflix to give us the money to do another season, we have to do incredibly well.”
He added: “Yes, we’ve been the best show in the world for the last two weeks. It still may not be enough.”

Sandman watched nearly 200 million hours in the first nine days of its release since its debut on August 5.
