Shaquille O’Neal not yet ready to accept that the Earth is round.

On Aug. 23, the 50-year-old NBA legend reaffirmed his support for the theory that the Earth is flat when asked if he still believes his controversial comments from 2017.

“It’s a theory,” he said during an appearance on The Kyle and Jackie O Show. “It’s just theory, they teach us a lot.”

Shaq then doubled down on his claims, sharing that he “flew straight” from the United States to Australia just before appearing on the radio show. “I’ve been flying for 20 hours today, I’ve never gone that way,” he explained, before adding that his plane “didn’t tip over” or “turn over” during the trip.

Deviating from the theory, the host Kyle Sandiland asked how someone could fly to the other side of the world in different directions, to which Shaq replied, “It’s still a straight line, you don’t dive.”

Shaq not only has different opinions about the shape of the planet, but he also states that he does not believe that it rotates.
