Ahgren was born on July 6, 1995. He spent his childhood in Hollis, New Hampshire with his mother and sister, where the family spoke both French and American. His father died at the age of 10 as a result of years of heavy drinking. His Swedish grandfather emigrated to the United States.
He received his undergraduate degree in 2013 from Hollis-Brookline High School in New Hampshire, where he was a student.
