The prolific producer Woody Allen has detailed that his upcoming work, his 50th film, is set to be his last. Announcing the news to Spanish paper La Vanguardia, Annie Entryway’s creator announced that she hopes to focus on developing a novel and leave filmmaking.
“My idea, on an important level, is not to make more movies and focus on the piece,” Allen said at the conveyance. Allen’s upcoming film, Wasp 22, is set to begin production in Europe this year.

Allen, 86 years old, has won 12 Establishment Awards overall through his calling and is referred for films such as 12 PM in Paris, Blue Jasmine, Annie Passage, Vicky Cristina Barcelona and several others.
Regardless, Allen’s call was not without controversy. He took the young lady, Dylan Farrow, close to her mother, Mia Farrow, who blamed her for actually abusing her when she was 7 years old. Farrow first opened up to the world about his case in 1992 and featured it in the four-part docuseries, Allen v. Farrow, in 2021.
Allen has long denied the allegation that he pursued Dylan. The filmmaker continued to engage in extramarital affairs and eventually married Soon-Yi Previn, one of Mia’s adopted daughters.

This past June, Allen chatted with Alec Baldwin in an Instagram Live gathering where he revealed his reasons for stepping back from filmmaking, saying he had “some different” movies that he had to do.
“The rush is gone,” Allen says of the state of the art film releases. “Nowadays you make a movie, and you get a few moments at a film house, and then it goes to streaming or pay-per-view. It’s not something that’s nearly identical. It’s not enjoyable to mine.”
Discussing the charges against him again, Allen said he “has no interest in anyone’s choices and objectionable posts.”
