YouTuber iJustine details her battle with a life-threatening blood clot

Justin Ezarykalso known to fans on YouTube as iJustinetalks about his experience with a critical health condition.

Last March, the 38-year-old’s hand became numb, swollen and purple, prompting her to seek treatment. “I couldn’t even bend my arm because my bicep was so massive it looked like I’d been ripped from the gym – but it just swelled up,” she said. Today in an article published on August 26. “I went to [an emergency clinic] and the nurse looked at it. She says, “We can’t handle it.”

She added: “I left with [being] perfectly good to almost [dying] within a few hours.”

After Ezarick was admitted to the hospital, the Pittsburgh native learned she had deep vein thrombosis and a blood clot in her arm. She was put on high doses of blood thinners, but was later transferred to another hospital better equipped to treat the blood clot. There, Ezarik underwent a thrombectomy, which involved using a catheter to break up the blood clot so it wouldn’t travel to her heart or brain.
